Hotel Royalton

Hotel Islazul Royalton

Islazul has a “gem” of a property in this historic Bayamo hotel. The Royalton is well located opposite of Parque Céspedes in the center of town. The 33 air-conditioned rooms (four rooms offer small balconies) are nicely decorated and all have private showers. The streets surrounding the park are traffic-free making for a relaxed pedestrian-friendly atmosphere with a few shops, restaurants, bars and even a cinema in the vicinity.

The town of Bayamo, founded in 1513 by the Adelantado or Captain-General Diego Velázquez, was the cradle of Cuba’s National Anthem and also of Cuban patriot, Carlos Manuel de Céspedes.

Returning guests testify to the winning combination of its pleasant rooms and excellent cooking. The Royalton Hotel has heard many a legend and witnessed much of the history of this city, so rich in tradition and adventure.
